For over 75 years, the McBay family has supplied fresh Scottish seafood to UK and European wholesalers, food retailers and restaurants. Located in Johnshaven on the north-east coast, they are right in the heart of the nation’s shellfish industry – supplied daily with the finest of catches straight from the fleet of local creel boats.

HOMEGROWN VEGETABLES
THE SPUD HUT

CAIRNTON FARM​, 15 min walk

 

All the Gammie’s homegrown vegetables available inside The Spud Hut can be seen in the patch right next to it. Picked daily, all their produce is free from spraying and harvested and weeded by hand. All sorts of beautifully coloured vegetables can be found through the seasons.

Select from a range of Farmer Gammie's homegrown veggies and a tempting offering of deli items, local produce and gifts too. The refillery offers a good variety of grains, oils and vinegars.

Buy the farm's fruit and veggies, ready meals, preserves and other deli goodies in the shop, where you'll also find cards and gifts.

Situated in the small, picturesque fishing village of Catterline, the Creel Inn offers good seafood, atmosphere, a great wine selection and friendly staff in addition to its picturesque location. 

One of Britain's greatest painters Joan Eardley RSA created her most magnificent paintings of the views, the elements and the atmosphere of Catterline for ten years. She lived at no.1 and no.18 The Row, a short walk  from the restaurant.
